a person that listens to older hip hop music and constantly talks about it like it its the best music EVER!!!
"hip hop hippies" are in luve with de la soul, tribe called quest, public enemy, jay z , wu tang , etc......
"hip hop hippies" refer to their prefered hip hop as "real" and " the bomb" or "da bomb". Modern hip hop is frowned upon and called "shitty" or "with out soul"

Hip hop hippies 

Black hippies that you often see leading social movements. You can identify them by the afros, braids, dreadlocks and baggy tie-dyed clothing they wear as a nod to the late sixties racial equality protests.

They push an agenda of black empowerment by marching, protesting and demanding social change when their focus should be on economic change. black, hippies, black hippies, social change, racial equality, racism, revolution, movement, BLM, black lives matter, black power, urban hippie, hippie chic, urban hippie chic, hipster, hiphop hippie, hip hop hippie

There have been a ton of protests for justice ever since that kid was shot in the back. It's tragic John, but I'm tired of the hip hop hippies creating so much drama. Brian, you have no sympathy?!
