An invented word that I made up in the middle of the
night because I was writing a poem and I was annoyed that flaw doesn’t rhyme with drawn.
Hamartiorn is a noun which means a fatal flaw or defect in a living thing, commonly referring to its nature,
like human greed. It is derived from the Ancient Greek word “hamartia”, which also means a fatal flaw or defect but most commonly that ends in the result of the downfall of a hero or heroine.
I doubt that this will become
popular enough for it to be considered a real word and for me to be able to include it in my poetry, but I felt
like I would share this thought.
