Geedit 

Exclamation which serves to justify a stupid and unwitty joke, which is normally made intentionally.

Etymology - Literally a slurred and quick "get it?" was first introduced in the late 90s by a sicilian/englishman named E.Zimmatore.
The diffusion of the word was quick and vast, mainly dominant within south east England, from London to Brighton and in certain areas of Paris.

Ed's cat got run over and died;
John asks Ed:
"How's your cat? Geedit!"

get - it? Said fast usually after you tell a joke and to wait for a response to the person you told it to, particularly if it's a tricky or subtle or to avoid causing offence etc.

Basically emphasize the point you made a joke and/or check they understood.

why can't you get pain pills in the jungle... cause parot's-ate-em-all. Geddit!?

Diu as in the cantonese word for f*ck
