etymology: Originally used to describe a technique used by inexperienced shotgun shooters when a flock of birds flies by and instead of picking a single target, the shooter aims into the middle of the flock, hoping to hit anything. Usually results in hitting nothing. Sometimes results in hitting multiple targets.
"I don't know which girl's profile this, but I'm flock shooting this swipe. They're overwhelming."
