A femboy has essentially internalized these feminine interests and appropriated it for their own self-expression. Femboys may find huge interest in makeup, feminine clothing, and nail polishes. Femboys may also be fond of other girly stuff like knitting, shōjo manga or boy bands. You can tell that somebody is a femboy when they are equally as zealous (or knowledgable) about the feminine interest as a typical girl would be.

As a cis femboy I love to paint my nails, not because other guys are doing it, and not because of any fad, but because I genuinely like it. It makes my hands look sooo pretty and it helps me express myself better. Plus, I can finally have something relatable when I talk to a girl, haha.
