a co-worker who is always seen working and/or walking fast to give the impression of importance to the workplace. This acts as a cover for being lazy and avoiding work. The impression to the boss is that they are a good worker but you hardly see them working.
"During the normal working day the "fast walker" goes out for two breaks of an hour or so, and quickly walks back into the shop looking busy, giving the impression that although he spent a long lunch at the pokies on the company account, he was actually working to the end of his wits on vitally important work related business."
