down the ocean

The Maryland way of saying "down to the Ocean," which always means Ocean City. Mostly spoken by people from Dundalk, Essex, and hicks from AA County to describe what is usually a weekend trip to the beach.

"Where ya goin' for the weekend?"

"Down the ocean, hon!"
