Originally believed to derive from the name of the town of Kiltimagh in county Mayo, it is considered a derogatory term by Dubliners. Increasingly, it is being reclaimed by the bogtrotters, much as the worldwide gay community has reclaimed the word 'gay'.

Culchie Uno, otherwise known as Jack Changes, is a card game with the same rules as Uno but uses a regular deck of cards since the luxury of having a specific deck of cards for one game doesn't yet exist outside of Dublin.
After a long day of cutting turf and milking cows, Dave and his brother spent the evening playing Culchie Uno by candlelight .
