CSAD (compulsive song association disorder) is a mental condition where the affected person associates song lyrics with everyday phrases in conversations. The phrase doesn’t have to be identical to the actual lyrics, but it must fit into the original inflections of the song lyrics and sound very much the same.
While telling a dramatic story, Alice said, “I got knocked down.” Dunstan immediately interrupted her story to sing “but you got up again, they’re never going to keep you down!” Alice let out a slight giggle, because she was familiar with Dunstan’s CSAD.
