to drink a couple of beers, or enough liquor to get you to the first stage of drunk...to start feeling the alcohol.
at that point you obviously drink more to surpass buzzed status.

this can also be used for weed...getting a little high, as opposed to getting ridiculously stoned.

"yo man i'm feelin' stressed, wanna catch a buzz with me?"

"if i drink this whole 40 oz i'm definitely going to catch a buzz!"

Buzzcation 

A period of suspension from any responsibilities for those who can't afford a real vacation and would rather drink to get away from their responsibilities. Typically leads to more wild and forgettable moments than a staycation.

"You wanna meet at the bar after work?"

2. The act of one self getting "crunk" or "whack" by consuming toxic/deadly amounts of alcohol.
3. Getting to a state of "whackness" in which results in total apathetic views toward all human existence, demolition of property, and a subconscious motion of an upward projectile fist. (a.k.a. "fistpumping") (verb. "Catch a Buzz")
