Blackbird Leys is the roughest bit of Oxford, youths roam the streets and pick on anyone, whether they be an outsider or a local... at least that's what most people in Oxford think it's like. But really, it's actually an area with a strong sense of community spirit. There's no over entitled students around here, no one asking for money, no tourists. Just a proper working class community. There's chavs, like anywhere else, but most people on the estate are ordinary folk whose families have lived here for decades.
Me: You should actually come and see Blackbird Leys for yourself, it's a proper place that's actually down to Earth.

This practice is what's known as blackbirding.
