| 1. | bitonym | ||
|
Function: Noun
Etymology: Derived from a mispronunciation of the English "vitamin." A child's mispronunciation deemed preferable to the proper pronunciation due to its aural appeal or "adorableness." Other Forms: bitonymic (adjective) One of my favorite bitonyms is "ampriter," as in: "I want to watch Dora on Mommy's ampriter (computer)."
