The Norwegian national hero of all time
It's tricky to name just one Norwegian national hero of all time, the country is full of them. WWII alone made them a heroic nation 'cause it's the country that lasted longer than cheese eating surrender monkeys who lasted 42 days instead of 62!
They are also a sporty nation whose popular heroes can be found at the cross-country skiing scene - nothing is more Norwegian than a bunch of asthmatic cross-country skiers in the woods with icy snot, or nothing is as erotic (from a man's POV) as in the mass start competition of women's skate skiing on an uphill route; a queue of heavily panting women in a wide crotch position.
One of the quietest national heroes must be the cod who fought against German occupiers in the resistance movement.
Writer Knut Hamsun was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1920 and definitely one of Norway’s national heroes, his breakthrough work was "Hunger." He was also known as an avid fisherman but he became unpopular right after the War at an older age when he accidentally caught the aforementioned resistance cod by using a heavy duty rod and a braided line - he could've released the hero fish but Knut was too hungry for it...
The icing on the cake is, of course, Vidkun Quisling who was the Führer of Norway from 1942 to -45 until he died suddenly of acute complications from nickel allergy and lead poisoning.

The Norwegian national hero of all time must be OIL because they tend to say all of sudden: "We've got oil." Perhaps this is a self-esteem thing 'cause they know that without oil they would be mere stranglers of cod.

The band is named after a line from the New Found Glory song "Head On Collision". After releasing two records on Emerald Moon Records and performing with popular bands such as Motion City Soundtrack, The Early November, Acceptance, Gym Class Heroes, Cartel, and The Academy Is..., the four-piece of then-high school seniors was signed by Hopeless Records, who released their latest EP Put Up or Shut Up in 2006. They were on the 2006 Warped Tour and opened the 2006 HFStival. In early 2007, they were on tour with Cute Is What We Aim For, Brighten and This Providence. They also toured with Hit The Lights and Valencia. In April, 2007, the band went into the studio to record a new album, "So Wrong, It's Right", which was released September 25th. They were on the entire 2007 Vans Warped Tour. The band is currently on the Tourzilla tour with Boys Like Girls, theAUDITION, We The Kings, and Valencia.
All Time Low formed in 2003 when the rock band's members were attending Baltimore-area high schools Dulaney High School and Towson High School. They practiced during school and went on tour when school was not in session. Their "energetic and rough" style of live performance is influenced by groups such as Blink-182 and Green Day.
Their first four tracks EP, The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End, appeared on Emerald Moon Records, a regional record label. In July 2005, the band released their first full length The Party Scene which is a must have on Emerald Moon Records.
In 2006, just months before Gaskarth, Barakat, and Dawson graduated from Dulaney High School and Merrick graduated from Towson High School, All Time Low signed with Hopeless Records. Several months later the band released a new EP entitled Put Up or Shut Up on Hopeless Records, containing newly recorded versions of songs from The Party Scene along with two new tracks. At recent concerts, All Time Low has been playing three new tracks, "Dear Maria, Count Me In", "Let It Roll" and an acoustic song, "Remembering Sunday". All Time Low appeared on the compilation albums 'A Tribute to Blink 182' and Punk Goes Acoustic 2 with a cover of the Blink 182 song 'Time to Break up' and an acoustic version of their song "Jasey Rae" respectively.
The band began recording "So Wrong, It's Right" on April 18, 2007 with Matt Squire and new drummer Rian Dawson and released the album on September 25, 2007.
