the time when a ballgame that you are watching becomes really exciting, usually in football or basketball as the clock begins to tick down during the fourth quarter; the climax of a sporting event.
Marv Albert on your tv- "lebron james with a fade-away three, and the crowd erupts! lakers and cavs now tied in the fourth!"
stoned/drunk guy on couch- "yeah man, looks like a DANK GAME ALERT!"
Slang. Typically heard in Boston. It is not just making a left turn, it is to make a left as soon as the light goes green and before the oncoming traffic has a chance to react to the light changing to green. If you ever find yourself driving in Boston it has almost become customary for you to allow the first car in the turn lane to “bang a left” in front of you before you pull forward from the light.
I can't believe that there's no green arrow at this busy intersection, it looks like I'll have to bang a left if I ever want to get through it.
When one comes across people acting in a manner that is the epitome of the college lifestyle, one may alert others of the occurance.
Walking through the Quad and witnessing people playing frisbee and tanning, George screams "College Alert!".
When a drunk freshman girl stumbles out of a bar and a friendly senior male helps to find her way back home, Bobby high fives Charlie as they both state "College Alert" while nodding their heads in approval.
