| 1. | Y.I.T.S. | ||
|
An acronym for "Yours in the struggle". Used as a sign off or signifier. Popular among national liberation, nationalist or revolutionary movements. Implies a shared purpose and cause of intense or revolutionary commitment. Like "-power", it expanded from an indigenous or Third World, minority political movement phrase to being popular among nationalists, revolutionaries and psuedo revolutionaries of a wide variety of groups. Exp #1
Black Panther rep: I can't believe that the Afrikaners use Y.I.T.S. as a sign off now! American Indian Movement rep: Better them than a Berkeley student protesting the cafeteria serving meat. God I hate these people. Exp #2 ...If the man tries to hold you down, put a slug in the left side of his head, put his mind right, ya dig? Y.I.T.S., Mumia Exp #3 ...You probably don't want to spit at the congressman even if he deserved it. This is a long term movement and we need leaders in the Tea Party who are committed to changing this government by whatever means necessary. See you when you get out. Y.I.T.S., Herman Goering |

Yellow Ass Toe nails. Similar to the B.A.T. However, in this case it looks like the person's toe nails have been chain smoking cigarettes for 50+ years. ( Often seen in white trash towns in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana). She had the most rancid set of Y.A.T's I've ever seen. Y.A.T.

Stands for "For Your Ass(es)/Fo' Yo' Ass(es)," but basically means "for yourself/yourselves." It's a way to call attention to--or remind someone of--something.
F.y.a. is my own play off of corporate-speak's "f.y.i" (for your information). I thought the thought (and act) of fresh grads/entry-level co-workers plugging "f.y.i." into their communication as much as possible in order to feel important and part of the corporate world is funny. (F.y.a., I did it, too, for a minute.) Every day use:
"F.y.a., make sure to bring back some <food> from <restaurant>. And hurry. I'm hungrier than a moph!" Note/message use: "F.y.a. to all the biters, don't forget when and where this phrase came from. For everyone else, enjoy. Tim-Ass." Casual office use: "F.y.a., Lumberg's meeting with the client got cancelled. So we probably won't need those TPS reports by E.O.D. anymore." |

| 6. | P.Y.T. | ||
|
"P.Y.T." was famously referenced by President Ronald Reagan during Jackson's 1984 White House visit, saying "Let's give some T.L.C. to the P.Y.T.s."
The song was sampled by Monica on her 2002 single, "All Eyes On Me." The chorus of the song is also used in the song "I Wanna Love U" by Memphis Bleek, from his album M.A.D.E., sung by Donell Jones. In the beginning of the song, Jackson whispers, "You know, you... you make me feel so good inside. (chuckles) I've always wanted a girl just like you. You're such a P.Y.T., Pretty Young Thing". Almost at the end, he says, "You know, I think I'm nice enough. You I could've, you know, just get together. You're such a P.Y.T. to me. Pretty Young Thing." At the end he says, "I just want to love you, you know. (chuckles) I'll give you all that I've got." that gurl so p.y.t. to me..
