To tell someone to settle down because they are getting ahead of themselves.
If 4 people were rowing a boat and the boat kept turning instead of going straight someone would yell out, "Slow Your Row!"

If someone was over-reacting their friend might say "Calm Yourself," or "Slow Your Row!"

Same maening as "Slow your roll" however, much more clever in its creation becuase not only does it advised the person your speaking to that they need to slow down or back off, it also makes you look much more smooth as it rhyms.
Whoa whoa slow your row homie.
