It is a phrase that is very universal. Shooting the Jay means everything from completing the task at hand to dominating your field. If you are shooting the jay you have to be taking care of business.
I was at work shooting the jay!, My friend absolutely shot the jay last night with that hottie., If he knew what he was doing he would have shot the jay. You should get out there and Shoot The Jay!
