A guy who's just really uncool and dweebish. Usually obsessed with video games and pretending to be cool. They congregate in groups of likeminded individuals, often speaking to girls and hopelessly hitting on them. The girls who are nice enough to talk usually get sucked in and asked strange questions, "oh do you have a vagina, ahahahahahah" these girls are unfortunate and end up picking bad friendships and being exiled slowly from more original groups. Scrubs are mainly very strange, think they are cool, being neither, a majority are failing at life, being unpopular and spending all they're time wasting instead of studying like smarter, hard working boys do

Somebody who strives to do worse than all your prior expectations, until you have none. They make an art of slacking and finding short-cuts through anything. They are generally seen as average, pathetic humanoids, but in reality they are much, much more. Their energy is infectious which is necessary when fighting the tryhard syndrome! Long live the scrubs.

Depending on context, a scrub will *usually* refer to an inferior or lesser person in some way. It should be noted that unlike other commonly used slurs such as nigger, redneck, Jew, faggot or whore, the term scrub is a broad encompassing definition that can be applied to individuals regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or religious affiliation.
With that being said, a "scrub" usually refers to an individual that chooses to live a certain lifestyle that is… "frowned upon." First and foremost, a scrub is deadbeat, and more often than not will have no car, money or job. They are often 100% dependent on charity (family, welfare, etc), and are notorious loners and drug users. They are typically unattractive, have no social lives, and fail in all aspects when it comes to their pursuit of romantic interests
Scrubs typically aren't enrolled in school (as this implies that they're actively working for their future), but if by some off-chance they are then they're undoubtedly failing miserably. So, in conclusion, a scrub is a socially rejected loser who is going no where, doing nothing and failing miserably at all aspects of life.

Allen in two and a half men is a close example for a scrub. Although he does have a car and job, he's still more often than not broke, has horrible luck with women (he admittedly resorts to prostitutes and magazines), and is solely reliant on his older brother Charlie for food, rent and other miscellaneous living expenses.

A person who plays a competitive game with a personal set of rules that the designers game and the tournament community don't recognize. Usually these rules prevent the scrub from having to put forth the effort to to learn to beat tactics that are above his skill level in a game.
Scrubs will feel that those that don't follow their personal rule-sets as if they were cheating, and complain incessantly attempting to peer-pressure others into following their personal rules for the game.
Scrubs can be recognized by the cry of "That's cheap!" in most player vs. player, competitive video games.

It's Used in the Online gaming community as a Derogatory word for some who is Not new at the game but who Just isn't very good, or someone who thinks they are the best, by how they talk, or by how they act. If you Type using non-words like "da" instead of The, "wit" instead of with, or other Non-words of the like because you think you are cool
"Yo G, I just saw dis dude ridin' wit his homie dat hads a car, ima guessin he ain't gots no moneez fool."
