Doing romantic things without a significant other in order to get those warm, fuzzy feelings one gets when being on a romantic outing or date. Romanceturbation is practiced by those too pathetic to get an actual date, and may be characterized by such behaviors as getting a table for one at a restaurant, renting romantic comedies, etc. Anna: "Where's Sally?"
Sarah: "She told me she's staying in tonight. I saw her pick up "Eat, Pray, Love" from the Redbox and she had her table set for just herself, with her nice china out." Anna: "Sounds like she's going to be doing some romanceturbation tonight." |
