An eternal leader in the 16th century known to be as a "joker". It is not that much of a popular name but it is believed that anyone with the name of "Raed" is a funny, handsome and very romantic person. Despite might being slightly childish or even hyperactive.

Resident Advisor, Resident Assistant - In a university residence hall (dorm), an RA is a student leader. They keep order, serve as a resource to residents, organize events, and generally work to maintain a positive living and learning community. Some residents do not like RAs because they see them only as authority figures who get them in trouble for policy violations.

This weekend my RAs are organizing a movie night with the neighboring hall.

RA

A Residence Advisor, Residence Assistant. Someone who is under-paid to put up with the all of the bull shit that higher ups in the University won't. Typically they are seen as authority figures assigned to different floors of a college dorm or residence hall. They are expected to enforce university policy, provide a safe, community-like atmosphere, and plan corny community building programs that even they resent attending. Most notably, they deal with alcohol violations, over flowing toilets at 1 in the morning,and alcohol induced accidents (vomiting, fighting, and what not).

RA#1: Is there frat party tonight?
RA#2: I think so...
RA#1: Fuck my life....I hope the boys don't try to drunkenly shit in the urinals again like last weekend.

I could teach a class on how to sneak in alcohol...but that would be inappropriate 'cause I'm an RA.

RAs...we know drama.

Haile Selassie, I was born on July 17, 1891 (1883 according to the Ethiopian calendar). He was then known as Ras Tafari. Ras was a title similar to "duke" and Tafari was a family name.

The RA

Short for IRA, meaning Irish Republican Army; An Irish paramilitary organisation located in Ireland, primarily in Northern Ireland during the early and late 20th century. The British and Irish Unionists in Northern Ireland (mostly protestants) view them as a terrorist group, where as the majority in Ireland, both in the Republic of Ireland and the Irish in Northern Ireland regard them as freedom fighters. The term is widely used in Irish catholic areas in Northern Ireland, as well as used throughout the rest of Ireland. It is used out of a familiarity with the organisation.

Two major Irish paramilitary-rebels used "IRA". The first being for the Irish revolution in the 1920s, which was mostly successful, but also got Ireland divided.

Then a later organisation during "The Troubles" conflict of the 70-90s in Northern Ireland. This conflict is the more widely known by the modern day brit even though its the less significant of the two conflicts. This conflict came about due to the mass discrimination against the Irish natives in northern Ireland by unionist protestant colonials, due to Ireland's division giving this radical small population a platform to discriminate. Things later spiraled out of control as all wars do, and the IRA split into fractions. The PIRA (Provisional IRA) conducted a mass bombing campaign in England, were as the IRA did not.
