| 1. | Phagophobia | ||
|
A term describing the fear of swallowing, usually developed in young children as a result of being force-fed medicine.
Sometimes related to the fear of being eaten. Phagophobia is not to be confused with a fear of eating (Sitophobia) or a fear of choking (Pseudodysphagia), both of which have their own separate classification. Jimmy hasn't eaten anything solid in months because of his phagophobia.
