Shortened form of the word martyrdom, used in the Xbox 360 and PC game Call of Duty 4 to express disgust for the use of the "martyrdom perk" in which a downed enemy drops a live grenade upon death, often catching the unwitting killer in the blast. Players often whine about this game mechanic as unfair but are usually quickly met with the counter argument that it is indeed part of the game and that if they cannot handle COD4, they should go play World of Warcraft.

Marty’s can be very annoying in fact, sometimes making out with girls. He has a great personality. He can be mean sometimes but in a cute way. He is the biggest flirt you can ever see. He likes to go to birthday party’s. Marty can be a devil. If you come across a Marty, RUN!!

a Marty is a Fat man usually sitting down wearing an open Hawaiian shirt with his gut hanging out while he wears shades, and drinks. A Marty is almost always drunk but while hes drunk he acts like a complete asshole throwing beer bottles at his kid while simultaneously calling them a worthless shit kid (Usually the kid is named brad) Marty's are also known to have pedophilic tendency's towards their daughters (who are usually named Lisa). In summary a Marty is just an asshole

Martie’s have the most amazing personalities out of all of your friends. They have a wonderful sense of humor and will brighten your day when she smiles. Martie’s are naturally flirty and will make all boys drool. They are strong inside and out and always know the way to your heart. She will help you when you need it and never leave your side if she trusts you. Martie’s are very athletic and good at all sports they want to be good at. If Martie cares about something she will not give up on that dream and do everything in her power to make it happen. Martie’s can be your best friend or your worst nightmare if you do something bad to her or someone she cares about. She will always try to do the right thing and what she thinks is best.
