A credit system devised by a group of friends where items are purchased on a friend's behalf only to be compensated with the same gesture at a later date.

Friend A: Dude, I left my wallet at home, I may have to sit this round of shots out.

Friend B: No worries bra, I'll get these, just put it on the friend tab.

Someone who you'd sit with at lunch but is too weird and/or stupid to hang out with anywhere else. In many cases could be a fuck boy.

friendtal 

The lending of an item between friends. Similar to a rental it is understood you only keep what you received for a specific period of time. Unlike car or movie rentals friendtals have no late fees. Without late fees sometimes the friendtal becomes what is similar to theft or indefinite borrowing. as the receiving party never gave compensation for what they received.

Guy 1 "Dude where did you get this sick beer pong table?"
Guy 2 "Oh this is just a friendtal. I've got to give it back to my buddy at some time."
