An awesome country located in the north of Europe, wedged between Russia and Sweden, and tends to experience particularly cold winters. Finland is also known as 'The Land of a Thousand Lakes', due to much of the country being lakes. The main tongue of the country is Finnish (surprisingly enough), but a minority also speak Swedish. The country's capital is Helsinki (located in the south of Finland). The country is well known for a variety of things, including but not limited to: fucking amazing metal bands (such as Mors Principium Est, Amorphis, Wintersun, Kalmah, Norther, Apocalyptica, Children Of Bodom, Ajattara, Turisas, Ensiferum, Omnium Gatherum, Insomnium + loads more), rally drivers, ice hockey players, alcoholic beverages (such as 'Finlandia' Vodka), and locals tending to have the ability to down just about anything alcoholic with ease.
All Finnish people I have spoken to have been generally awesome, laid-back, hilarious metal heads. They also tell me Finnish beer is awesome, I have yet to try some.

Finland has got many of the most beautiful women in the world. Albeit there are only 5 million inhabitants in Finland, Finland has won Miss Universe twice, and is ranking 6th (after Brasil 5th), in the world by country tally by having had 18 semifinlalists in the Miss Universe competition.

The best damn country in the world. Sure our welfare system might be a bit screwed up and our goverment cant find its ass with both hands, but we know how to get drunk like no-one else, we know how to make excellent booze,we know how to party and we are just damn cool. Finland is the best country on this god forsaken planet.

A cold country that lays in Eastern Scandinavia the people in Finnalnd are Nordic and some viking backgrounds.The earliest traces of human habitation in Finland date from about 8000 bc, when the most recent of the Ice Ages was retreating. These primitive hunters and gatherers probably arrived from the east. Pottery making characterized another type of Stone Age culture (starting 3000? bc) known as the Comb-Ceramic; its practitioners were of a different origin. The succeeding Battle-Ax culture (1800-1600 bc) may have been brought to Finland by an Indo-European people from a more southerly Baltic region; these people were able navigators and also introduced agriculture. A merger of the Battle-Ax people and the previous dwellers resulted in the so-called Kiukainen culture (1600-1200 bc).
During the age of the Vikings the Finns became exposed to both eastern and western influences. Vikings from Sweden used the Åland Islands (colonized by Swedes in the 6th century ad) as a base for their journeys of pillage and trade into Russia as far south as the Black Sea. Although they did not actually participate in these Viking expeditions, the Finns benefited by the growing contact and the establishment of trading colonies in their country by merchants from Sweden and Gotland. At the end of the 11th century three Finnish tribes had spread as far north as the 62nd parallel: the Finns proper in the southwest, the Tavastians in the interior lake district, and the Karelians to the east. Saami were also living in the wilderness to the north. No unified government or state existed.
Also the finnish lanuage has been known to have hella long words like:pelimannimusiikki(I think i spelled that right)Some 72 percent of Finland is still forested.

It´s a great country! You should come to visit here! We have a sauna. That´s a place where is hoooooot! Probably all the american people would die there, ´cause they are so terribly weak to heat. So,come here, please. Oh, here is also Santa Claus (Joulupukki in finnish) and midnight sun!
