While taking a dump, you lift your ass slightly after the shit falls to avoid having the dirty toilet water splash on your ass.

Always dump and dodge while using public toilets, because you don't know where that toilet has been.

Dump and Dodge 

While taking a dump, you move your ass either up, or to the side to avoid the splashing water. This move is especially common when using public toilets.

If Tom would have used the dump and dodge technique, Jim never would've got that nasty tongue infection.
