Top Definition
When an actor or actress has superbly unique facial features that make them somehow attractive while not meeting societal standards of attractiveness.

Sometimes it can mean a person is "so ugly they're cute".
Usually accompanied by great talent.
Michael Shannon has a real character face; he'd be great as a modern-day Jaws in a James Bond movie.

Other examples: Lyle Lovett, Willem Defoe, Angelina Jolie, Steve Buscemi, Sandra Bernhard, etc.
