Call of Duty Flu

An epidemic that swept most of North America and some of Europe on November 10th, 2009.

When Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was released there was a massive amount of high school and other students that did not attend school on November 10th and 11th (2009).

This was due to the urge to continuously play the newly released game for long amounts of time, with little to no rest.

Although the release has come and gone. It is not uncommon for someone from the ages of 12 to 18 to skip a day of school periodically to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. This is only lingering side effects of the Call of Duty Flu.
I can't hangout after school, I didn't go today because I had the Call of Duty Flu.

Mom, the only reason I didn't go to school was because I had the Call of Duty Flu!

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
