Arale Mahad are an Axmed garaad Dhulbahante group who were the historical inhabitants of Qoob Fardood in Buuhoodle. As such, they welcomed the Sayyid in 1896, thereby becoming the first Darwiish. However their numbers dwindled due to the Darwiish wars.
