The year that Donald Trump was elected president of the United States, and the year that the United Kingdom left the European Union. A year more politically and culturally divided than any before, where conservatism entered a strong comeback after years of more socially and fiscally liberal policy; and, quite importantly, the year where Russia has most rigorously reasserted its political power since the days of the Soviet Union.
