2000's nickelodeon 

The time when Nickelodeon was still worth watching. There were a handful of good shows such as Jimmy Neutron, Drake and Josh, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Invader Zim etc. Spongebob was good back then. Nickelodeon really died when they made that garbage ass Fanboy and ChumChum show.

Mid 2000’s 

The Mid 2000s started in 2004 and lasted until mid 2007 culture wise. This is the era of transitioning. Especially in culture.

MySpace was what Instagram is today.

50 Cent was the face of urban music and culture. Justin Timberlake ran pop music. Shirts went from XXXL to M/L in a span of 2 years (2005-2007). The internet became more accessible. YouTube was created and Steve Jobs introduced the first IPhone which ended the mid 2000s.

The mid 2000’s (2004-2007) were the core 2000s culture wise.

2000’s kid 

Kids who were born between 1992-2001, and therefore spent a majority of their childhood years in the 00s. This group can be seen as the Gen Y/Z transition. All of them graduated from high school and reached adulthood in the 2010s. They grew up during the transition from analog to digital technology. They grew up with consoles such as the GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameBoy. They also grew up playing games such as Neopets and MyScene.

2010’s kid: I miss playing on my iPad as a kid...

2000’s kid: Sorry can’t relate, us 2000s kids didn’t have iPads growing up.

2000’s kid 

Kids who were born between 1992-2001, therefore spending a majority of their childhood in the 00s. These kids were the last to spend their childhood without iPads and iPhones, but iPods and flip phones were largely popular during their childhood. They may be the last to remember VHS. They played games such as Neopets, Webkinz, and MyScene.

2010’s kid: I miss playing games on my iPad!

2000’s kid: I didn’t grow up with iPads as a kid. I mostly played computer games.
