A sub genre of Electronic Music featuring mostly electronic music, electronic remixes of hip hop/top 40 hits and a small percentage of hip hop/booty shaking music, that is played in gentleman's clubs.
This sub genre was originally created in Detroit on 8 Mile by the AWP/WP entertainment group in the state's first all electronic night in a gentleman's club. Electro Booty is currently played in multiple gentlemans clubs that are promoted by the AWP/WP entertainment group.

Fans are also under the illusion they have a deep understanding and knowlage on the subject. While there is nothing wrong with apreaciating electro for beginers, the idea that it is undergroud can result in anoyance by certain electro snobs.
