subtle asian networking

another group of asians on facebook. half is a space for old/new professionals to network and learn from each other. the other half is a collection of social justice warriors in tech + new graduates who confuse young recruiter advice for actual career guidance.

Hello subtle asian networking fam! This group is supposed to be about networking, but I want to remind everyone to take some time and acknowledge how victimized the asian community and people of color are in predominantly white communities.

Except the east asians. I'm specifically calling on east asians to take action due to the privilege possessed. S & SE Asians have also faced much more racism than East Asians on the regular. Black Asians also exist. That is the reason I'm not speaking to the entire Asian community, but the ones who have benefited the most from a screwed up system.

Subtle conflation between sucess and intelligence or education and intelligence.

As opposed to mathematical aptitude which is largely inate or inherent. Nice subtle conflation though. Just admit that you want everyone to be nice to retards. That's all this framing of intelligence really is. Nice to retard mean to 'bigots". That's you're conceptualization of intelligence."
