The verb - 'to ding'
If you 'ding' it means that on an internet based website, facebook, myspace or forums, when there is a thread running you say something completely random or inappropriate, which kills the conversation or thread, dead.

"Hey Pete, I totally Dinged when I was on this forum the other day talking about the advantages of men sitting down while they piss, I commented saying; 'I sat down and pissed on a puppy the other day'... and no one else replied"
