When a man/woman has someone that is interested in them but the feelings are not reciprocated. Instead of moving on and finding someone new the interested man/woman sticks around. He/She will continue to do things for their crush like support them during other failed relationships, buying them things, trying to be around them a lot, taking them on dates that "aren't really dates". They might continue to profess their feelings for said crush over and over persistently until the crush realizes that there is no one out there that is more perfect for them than the person that they have been rejecting. Then and only then have They have been wore down.....
