When a girl has light blue nail polish it is code for “I have a boyfriend” because when a girl asks a guy what color she should get her nails done, he will typically say “light blue”
Boy: “do you want to go on a date with me.”
Girl: “have you looked at my nails?”
Boy: “ oh your wearing light blue nail polish. Sorry.”

To go to bed. The expression comes from the instructions to users of firecrackers -- "light the blue paper and retire immediately" meaning to stand well clear once the wick of the firecracker is lit to avoid being hurt by the ensuing explosion.

DRIVER TARGETED FOR TRAFFIC STOP: "BLUE LIGHTS in my rearview dammit!"
COP ASSUMES DRIVER SAYS: "Here baby, hide this niggerpipe in your bra."
COP: "Driver! Turn off the engine and throw the keys out the driver's side window! Do it NOW!
Step out with your hands on your head!
Driver! Walk backwards toward my voice!
Don't look at me!
Stop! Lay face down with your hands to your side!"
