Im not from Columbia City, but I have lived here for the past 10 years. I think for the most part the people are very friendly and care about their neighbors.
There certainly are those who choose to gossip about their neighbors, however I find that the exception not the rule.
I believe this is a community that truly cares for its children, and elderly. There is relatively no crime, except for the meth heads. They prey on each other.. The police force are all professional nice folks that appear to be very caring and fair minded.

You could certainly pick apart any small town in America and advertise its faults. An example if the glass is half full or is it half empty?
I know that there are certainly much more difficult towns than Columbia City Indiana.
During this economic crisis in our country there are certainly those that lost jobs, however, new companies coming to our area offered employment with better pay and benefits withing 6 months.

This group of students are known for carrying disposable cameras wherever they go, to document EVERY moment of their "eventful" lives. Then, they feel the need to post these pictures on facebook in albums with 100+ photos that no one gives a crap about. Next, they smoke pot outside of school in front of the security guards and teachers, who dont do anything. Everyone plays a sport and if you dont you play chess or are a drama geek. despite all the negatives they're known for amazing plays and dance teams. that is all. peace out girl scout.

2) Program for students rejected from Ivy League Institutions, and more generally top tier universities, as admission to this dual degree is relatively high.
3) Group of privileged and self-referential rich kids hanging out between themselves and not doing much in their first two years of college.
4) Four year, direct entry program with the two first years in France at one of Sciences Po's regional campuses, and the two final years in the United States at the undergraduate college for non-traditional students of Columbia University, the School of General Studies. Upon graduation, students are awarded the Sciences Po Bachelor of Arts and the Columbia School of General Studies (GS) Bachelor of Arts.
