A darker version of grunge. Typically wears black and incorporates grunge items such as flannel and ripped jeans. Listens to both grunge music such as Nirvana or Soundgarden and goth rock such as Bauhaus or The 69 Eyes.

A fusion of 1960's Psychedelic Rock and 1990's Grunge Rock. Many call the genre Grungedelic Rock.

When a singer intentionally changes the way he phrases or sings his words, most prevalent in grunge music. (i.e. pronouncing "here" like "hurr") The worst case of grunge mouth ever recorded is Scott Stapp of the band Creed. Sometimes a case of grungemouth can be so bad that it renders the person's singing incoherent. Pearl Jam's "Yellow Ledbetter" is a good example.
Worst purveyors of grunge mouth are Creed, Pearl Jam, early Stone Temple Pilots, most recently heard with band Volbeat.

A term generally used to describe modern-day teenagers, typically girls between the ages of 14-18, who like create a "hardcore" persona on Tumblr by reblogging pictures of inverted crosses, dip-dyed hair, ying-yang symbols and toilets. They like to pretend that they listen to grunge music by wearing stylish Nirvana tees that match their $200 pair of Doc Martens. If you were ask them who the Misfits were, they'd probably say anyone who isn't sporting spikes this season.

Grunge Clunge (adj); The sweaty, dirty clunge you encounter on a lady who has just been to a rather active gig. Often both parties of the encounter are too fucked off their faces to care about the obvious hygiene implications involved.

Pastel grunge, can also be associated with Soft Grunge or Pastel Goth, originated from Grunge movement in the early 1990s. With noticeable Gothic and Kawaii influences. Pastel grunge styles started to gain popularity in 2010, on social media such as Tumblr. It invoved cute fashions such as Pastel or soft color and grunge from contemporary subculture and gothic or Goth subculture. Pastel grunge is mostly considered to be fashion subculture that took an inspiration from grunge culture, as it has a few to do with grunge subculture, which is a music subculture.
