A Snater is a person who deeply hates Snape and refuses to acknowledge canon. They usually see no redeeming qualities in him, tend to discard his good traits, transforming them in flaws, usually with no canon evidence. They also like to call Snape fans (or simply people who are trying to correct what they say) Snape Apologists, a play on the expression "rape apologist".
Kate: Snape stalked Lily as a kid!
Ann: What? It never happened...
Kate: Yes, he hid behind a bush and spied her once, totes stalker material.

Ann: But wasn't he poor and dressed with his mother's hand me downs in that scene? Maybe that's why...
Kate: He was also a nice guy incel, murdered the Potters himself and let Sirius rot in Azkaban because he knew he was innocent all along! Oh and he hated Ginny because she looked like Lily and if Harry had been a girl he would have groomed her for future marriage like the creep he is!
Ann: Do you have any proof of what you're saying???
Kate: I really hope you're not a Snape Apologist, Ann.

Ann: Yep, definitely a Snater!
