Westwood Studios

A now-defuncted video game company which was, in the end, purchased by an aggressive bidding by EA Games/Electronic Arts. They created games that impressed players and critics alike, such as Command & Conquer, Nox, Lands of Lore, and Dune. Their last known game was Command & Conquer: Renegade(2002).

Global Defense Inititive

One of two fighting factions in the Command & Conquer series of games. Generally considered "the good guys," GDI takes it upon themselves to keep peace in the world while keeping the Brotherhood of Nod in its place.
General Shephard runs the Global Defense Initiative while Kane runs the Brotherhood of Nod.
