Dunkadelic Generation

Is the era of kids born between 1975 and 1985. This era was influenced by the emergence of Dr.J and the Hip-Hop culture. They have grown up entirely on Hip-Hop. Michael Jordan and RUN-DMC continued the influence and helped popularize the shoe apparel industry that has become fashion symbols in the hallways, playgrounds, and neighborhoods of the urban youth.

Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, LeBron James, and Amare Stoudemire are players born during the " Dunkadelic Generation " era who were influenced by basketball and the Hip-Hop culture. They are now Dunkadelic Mega-Stars of the " Dunkadelic Generation " era and are coutinuing the influence of the Hip-Hop and basketball movement.

( adj. ) Is one of the best players in college or pro basketball. The Dunkadelic Mega-Star is the marque player who draws the fans to the sport. An electrifying talent with athleticism, who is generally known by a single name or initials.

Jordan, Kobe, Iverson, T-Mac, Shaq,KG LeBron, and Carmelo are Dunkadelic Mega-Stars of basketball.

As of the 2004-05 college basketball season the top 3 All-Time most NCAA Tourament wins are by Phat 5 coaches.

1. Mike Krzyzewski-66( Duke ), 66-18
2. Dean Smith-65 ( UNC ), 65-27
3. John Wooden-47 ( UCLA ), 47-10

They are also the top 3 coaches in Final Four appearances.

1. John Wooden ( UCLA )- 12
2. Deam Smith ( UNC )-11
3. Mike Krzyzewski ( Duke )-10

Adolph Rupp ( UK ) is tied for 4th with 6 with Denny Crum ( U. of Louisville ). Crum an assistant coach with John Wooden at ( UCLA ).

The Phat 5 coaches are just as impressive as their players and have been role models to the premiere coaches in the game today. Now that's Dunkadelic!!!!!

Is a basketball slang term for a player or teams who dunks and shows off by making loud noises or glaring at opposing player or players.

Ricky Davis is a in your face Dunkadelic Hotdawg who enjoys showing off after he jams one on you.The Houston Cougars of the Phi Slamma Jamma days were the first Dunkadelic Hotdawg's in college basketball.

Dunkadelic Vibe

Is an urban slang term used to describe a neighborhood or community that has a reputation for producing talent in basketball and the Hip-Hop culture.

Rucker Park in New York has a " Dunkadelic Vibe " that is like no other place in the country for playground basketball. Newport News,Virginia has a " Dunkadelic Vibe " that has given the sports world Allen Iverson and Michael Vick. Marcy projects in New York has a " Dunkadelic Vibe " that Hip-Hop Superstar Jay-Z rhymes about.

Dunkadelic Backbreaker

Is a basketball slang " catch phrase " used to describe a slam dunk that takes the heart and energy out of an opposing team. Makes an opposing team call time out and brings the crowd to their feet.

Shaq dropped a Dunkadelic Backbreaker on Portland that sent them home, and the Lakers to the 2000 NBA Finals. Dwayne Wade all but ended the game vs. Minnesota with a crushing Dunkadelic Backbreaker over " The Big Ticket " Kevin Garnett that lead to a Miami victory.

Is a basketball slang term given to players who make dunking a major part of their games.

Shaquille O'Neal is an intimidating and powerful Dunkadelic Machine night in and night out. Amare Stoudemire is a high octane Dunkadelic Machine on the fastbreak of the Suns.
