'boff', the shortened term of boffin is a common insult used by people of low intelligence to people of high intellegence. I believe it is a term used to cover up there own thickness, as what is wrong with being smart?

mug is an insult which is related to someones actions. E.g if someone kicks you in the balls they are a mug because of that action.
