K-Pop is short for Korean Pop, a genre of music. This genre of music is currently growing rapidly and has even come over to the western mainstream media due to the rapid grow and popularity of groups and performers such as BTS and PSY.

Kpop artists are commonly called idols, and Kpop artists commonly debut in a group with other idols and may produce solo work. Solo debuts are not rare, but also not common. Fanbases of certain Kpop groups can be enormous, and insulting their idols will lead to anger and annoyance from the average fan and death threats from hardcore stans. Many fanbases have a name for members of the bases, just as ARMY for BTS fans, BLINK for Blackpink fans, EXO-L for EXO fans, 1GOT7 (ahgase) for GOT7 and Once for Twice fans. Your favourite member in a certain kpop group is called your bias.
"K-pop? I only know PSY, sorry."
"You mean like BTS? I've heard about them but I don't stan that much."

"I'm a pretty big fan of kpop, and definitely a multifandom stan."
"Ya, I've staned them for quite a while now, my bias is V."
