Term used in New Zealand Wool industry to describe loose lots of wool (i.e. not mechanically pressed/banded) types. Wool purchases are usually made in denominations of bales however; Fadge purchases are lots that are not yet baled and have been packed loosely by hand.
"How many Fadge purchases have you made this week?"

"That grower always supplies good Fadge lots!"
