Coined by public relations expert Dave Lipscomb back in 1997, netnauts are those that believe everything business and social must pass through the Internet as a form of litmus test. To the netnaut, commerce and social standing is virtually irrelevant without a net presence of some sort. Whether or not the assessment is accurate in any given circumstance, netnauts will not consider the possibility business or personal relationships can exist outside the World Wide Web.
