An adjective describing a situation that was very exciting/had a blast/ a great time, but was paid with hard work/made you break a sweat.

A word mixture of "narly" and "harsh".

Noah: So how did the fundraising during the Prep Rally go in the morning?

Nellie: Aw dude, it was narsh, but I was able to make it through the day.
