Jerry got another reckless on 301. He's gotta check his I95 Syndrome, or he's gonna lose his license.

Sorry officer I'm trying to do 55, but I just can't control my lead foot. I've got I95 Syndrome something fierce!

As Dan traversed Hampton, he was the fastest car on the road. He was ecstatic about his record time on I64, but he had a sick feeling in his gut. He had a sense of impending doom. He could not control his I95 Syndrome.

Slingshot Effect

When a driver is released from or breaks through a traffic obstruction and accelerates excessively as if to make up for lost mileage. As the driver is restrained by some traffic obstruction, tension builds. When the obstruction is removed, the driver "slingshots" forward, releasing the tension.
Frankie was unfortunate to get caught behind a bunch of blue hairs when church let out. When he finally got to his turn-off, he experienced the slingshot effect and drove like he was in NASCAR the rest of the way home.

hatriotism

1. Proving your patriotism by hating the people or things you are instructed to hate by demagogues, arbiters of social or moral issues, or politicians inside of or outside of the current government administration.

2. Nationalistic Demagoguery.
Looks like Chavez has come out as totally socialist, and we've been told socialist are all Godless and hellbent on world domination. I better hate Venezuela lest I be branded unpatriotic.

Hatriotism in America today is spurred on by radio pundits.

While seemingly incompatible with Christian values, hatred and xenophobia have successfully been employed for political gains among Christian voters in the U.S. Thus, hatriotism has been a powerful tool of the republican party.
