Vibor (Noun)
Wild abrupt Croatian folk dance of uncertain origin. The dance is unique not for its specific style, which there is none, but the occasion in which it is performed. The dance is started impulsively by one person, regardless of the timing or location and everyone in the immediate area must join in. Any style of dance will do, the emphasis is on the randomness and group effort. A Vibor can and does occur at any time of day, night, at work, on a public bus, in the loo, etc. As with all ethnic dances, the inappropriateness of a Vibor increases with alcohol consumption. Witnessing and participating in a Vibor draws visitors to Croatia each year by the millions.
