Aquine

Something that is aqua and/or ocean-colored. Also can be used to refer to a valuable or pretty object that happens to be a light shade of blueish-green. This term was first coined in the writing known as "Lost in the Dark (He's Got a Heavy Heart)" as an alternative to the word "Aquamarine".

The aquine gemstone caught her eye as she walked past the jeweler's display.
