Welcome to West Milford where the kids are high and the grades are low. Not always though. There are a handful of extremely intelligent individuals suffering through the shitty school system
West Milford is a huge town but it definitely has small town characteristics. There's drugs for sure and tons of sex but overall it's one of the nicer towns in northern Nj. There's some diversity but not to much.

Yep it's a stoner town and teachers avoid checking the student's water bottles. New life is the awesome school assigned outpatient rehab that like 500 students attend Monday through Thursday for two hours a day. There are some hard drugs like coke and heroin but it's really only up the mountain.
There's a few rough patches but overall it's a pretty tasteful and classy place to grow up. There are pockets of really nice houses like in Awosting and Stockholm. The guys aren't the greatest but there are a few. Up the mountain= trashy whores and druggies. Every where else= pretty nice.

When it comes to clothing there are two groups. Preppy ugg wearing bitches and the creepy goth wearing freaks. Freshman are sluts and senior boys pervs.

All in all it's pretty fun to be around and the parties rock.

West Milford, NJ may be a huge town but is has all the character of a small town where everyone knows everyone. Most people who grow up there never leave, why would they want to, it’s absolutely beautiful. Originally a summer vacation resort area the town still maintains that relaxing slow paced life of an era gone by. There is no need to go through West Milford to get anywhere except if you live there so there is no such thing as rush hour traffic and traffic lights are almost non existent. It’s the type of area most people stay on their summer vacations. The multiple lakes and parks make it a hidden treasure in northern NJ where most towns are quickly becoming vastly over populated and over developed. There is still abundant wildlife, our water sources are uncontaminated and pollution doesn’t exist.

Contrary to popular belief it is not full of toothless rednecks and uneducated morons that all drive jacked up pick-up trucks or cars that are rusting apart at the seams. Agreed, there are some rednecks, bars do out number churches, Harley’s are abundant and the exhaust on any form of transportation is rated on a scale of the louder the better. But it is not in anyway some back woods hick town filled with trailer parks and deteriorating houses, and no, wife beaters are not considered black tie. In fact it is probably one of the more expensive areas in northern NJ to purchase a home. The taxes are astronomical especially if you live on the lake but that just helps to keep the lower income element from moving in and ruining the scenery. It is a town whose population is 90% Caucasian the language spoken is still English and the residents are a mix of blue and white collar hard working, tax paying, proud Americans!

West Milford, NJ encompasses a few towns in its Township, Hewitt, parts of Newfoundland, Greenwood Lake and Upper Greenwood Lake. And yet with all that acreage and all those residents crime is almost unheard of.

West New York, NJ 

West New York, New Jersey is a town with a huge population in the state of New Jersey. Inside of Hudson County next to Union City and Jersey City. The small city is mostly of hispanic races ranging from Puerto Ricans, Columbians, Dominicans, Equadorians, Mexicans, etc. Although it used to be mostly of Cuban and Italian origins. There is a high rate of gangs in the small city, and the only public high school named Memorial High School has one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the country. The West New York Public School system is considered an Abbot School District in New Jersey meaning it is of low standards compared to the rest of the state along with public schools in Newark, Jersey City, Camden, Paterson, Trenton, New Brunswick, East Orange, Elizabeth, and Union City. West New York is inside the 201 area code in Northern New Jersey. It is also in Hudson County that is one of the ghetto counties along with Essex County. Because West New York is in Northern New Jersey it is heavily influenced by New York City while Southern New Jersey is influenced by Philadelphia. West New York, NJ has popular streets like Bergenline Ave. that stretches through all of W.N.Y. and Union City. Bergenline holds parades, and has a variety of stores. Kennedy Boulevard and Palisades Avenue are the nicer areas in West New York, unlike areas like Broadway Avenue and Hudson Avenue.

West New York, NJ is sometimes referred to as Stomp City, or just W.N.Y., Hispanic Nation, home of the second largest Memorial Day Parade, and one of the urban .03% tax districts.

West Paterson, NJ 

A town in Passaic County (meaning North NJ) next to a ghetto town called Paterson. Paterson used to be nice, but then a lot of hispanics and negative-charged people moved in giving it and WEST Paterson a bad name. Paterson people think WP is lame or boring b/c its pretty safe and relativly friendly.

A lot of Paterson people move to W.Paterson when they get enough money to move into the apartments (that are ratehr going downhill) and enroll their kids in WP schools (or enroll when they are still in Paterson).

If you call West Paterson 'Paterson' a lot of people (especially older, lifelong residents) will get pissed and correct you since WP isn't a ghetto full of gangs, drugs but families, some of whom have been there for a long time.


My friend in town recently told me they voted to change the name to Woodland Park or soemthing with the initals WP to try and knock-off the confusion.

WP also has the same area-code as Little Falls (another next-door town) so along with Paterson, some people mistake WP for Little Falls, but that isn't nearly as bad since LF is also a nice little town with a cutesy little waterfall which stems its name.

My grandparents hate when people mistake West Paterson for Paterson.

West Paterson, NJ 

A location in New Jersey, west of Paterson, Always refered to as paterson. Any time this town is mentioned people automatically think it is the extreme ghetto and refer to you living in the ghetto. This town is never marked on a map. Most of its attends are forced to go to the Regional High School, this town is the fall off of hispanics, blacks and whites, who have migrated from Paterson. Those who think they are now better than the residents of Paterson. This town is heavily populated with ghetto people, Guidos and fake ass girls.
