Originally a search engine abbreviation to query the website Urban Dictionary, “urdict”, a play on the word, edict, denotes any term that has gained sufficient everyday social currency to merit inclusion in the official English language canon, despite it’s technically unofficial linguistic status. In other words, its degree of usage is such that — as an edict of sorts — it’s colloquial legitimacy and cultural significance cannot be refuted.

Everyone is using 'lol' now, and I know it's not in the dictionary, but we all know what it means and use it in conversation everyday: it's an unquestionable urdict.

anti semites, racists or bigots slur a group on urban dictionary and urban dictionary approves it.

did you see who got urdicted? urban dictionary has no standards, they let anyone urdict anything. urdicting is the new harassment and bullying.
